About WTIOIL.
WTI is the US benchmark, priced at Cushing, Oklahoma, and therefore exposed to American production, refinery runs and pipeline capacity in ways Brent is not. Its spread to Brent is effectively the market's read on how easily US barrels can reach the coast and the export market.
For a systematic trader WTI carries the same macro factor as Brent with a domestic overlay: weekly inventory prints, shale breakevens and seasonal refinery maintenance all leave a footprint. The Brent-WTI spread is frequently a better-behaved series than either leg traded alone.
