About SP500.
The S&P 500 is the benchmark for US large-cap equity risk, and on Hyperliquid it trades as a continuous perpetual against an index that itself only prints during cash-session hours. Direction is set by front-end rate expectations, the earnings path of a handful of megacaps and the credit backdrop, rather than by any single company.
For a systematic trader the interesting property is the gap between a 24/7 perp and a discontinuous underlying: weekend and overnight news is priced through funding and positioning, then resolved in one step at the reopen. Outright trend edge is thin and widely harvested, so models look at the gap and at the volatility term structure instead.
