No. There is no identity verification, no account creation and no document upload. You connect a wallet and trade.
Why there’s nothing to verify
Hyperliquid has no accounts in the conventional sense. Your wallet address is your identity, your balance and your signing authority. The protocol never holds your funds, so there is no custodian with a compliance obligation to collect your details.
Restricted jurisdictions
The interface blocks access from the United States and several sanctioned countries. The restriction is enforced at the front end by location, not by identity — the protocol itself has no way to know who you are.
That distinction matters. Using a VPN to access a restricted service is a decision with legal consequences that fall on you, not on the venue. The absence of KYC doesn’t make a restricted jurisdiction unrestricted.
What you give up
Recourse. No KYC means no account recovery, no support desk with authority to reverse a trade, and no one to appeal to. A lost seed phrase is lost funds.
What it means for automation
Any platform trading on your behalf inherits the same model: it works through your wallet, with permissions you grant and can revoke. There is no account to hand over.
