How Do I Connect a Wallet to Hyperliquid?

FAQ · HYPERLIQUIDUPDATED SEP 15 20262 MIN READ

Any EVM-compatible wallet works. Open the interface, choose Connect, approve the connection in your wallet. There’s no account to create — the wallet is your identity, your balance and your signing authority.

Supported wallets

MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect-compatible wallets and hardware wallets through those interfaces. Rabby is often recommended over MetaMask for HyperEVM interactions due to known network-handling quirks.

Connecting is not depositing

Connection proves you control an address. Nothing moves. Funds only arrive when you deposit USDC through the bridge and sign that transaction.

Agent wallets

Hyperliquid supports an API or agent wallet — a separate key with permission to trade on your behalf but no permission to withdraw.

An agent wallet can open and close positions. It cannot move money out. Even a fully compromised agent key cannot drain the account, though it can lose money by trading badly.

Any platform trading on your behalf should be using one. If something asks for your main private key or seed phrase, stop.

Revoking access

Agent permissions can be revoked from the interface at any time. Check where that control is before you grant anything.
