AlphaNet Points give users and partners a way to earn the resources behind our trading strategies. Premium alpha is scarce, and putting it to work takes research, compute and trading capacity. We’re introducing Points so that the value people create on AlphaNet counts toward their use of those capabilities.
Keeping capital deployed, trading manually and introducing active users all earn Points. Your balance records that contribution and gives it a practical purpose: supporting the strategies you choose to run. Whether you participate as an investor, a manual trader or a partner, you can build a place in the ecosystem through what you bring to it.
How Points fit our strategies
We’re organizing strategy families into three tiers. Currently, Hackworth sits in Tier 1, Archimedes in Tier 2, and Archimedes Pi in Tier 3. More strategy families will be introduced across these tiers.
Higher-tier strategies have more exclusive sources of alpha, require more compute, and have higher Sharpe ratios, though they do not necessarily deliver higher returns over every given period of time.
Points balance these different resource demands with the way each person prefers to trade. Tier 1 strategies earn Points without consuming them. Tier 2 and Tier 3 strategies both earn and consume Points, allowing users to draw on their accumulated balance for more resource-intensive trading. Manual trading and referrals provide additional ways to build that balance.
How to earn Points
You earn 1 Point per dollar deployed per day. Deployment means money deployed in AlphaNet strategies, including leverage. Positions in all three strategy tiers earn deployment Points.
For example, $100,000 deployed earns 100,000 deployment Points a day.
Manual trades through AlphaNet earn 1 Point per dollar traded at the launch promotion rate, with Points credited daily. During this promotion, manual trading volume helps you earn Points faster.
Referrals earn you 25% of each referred wallet’s deployment Points for as long as that wallet stays deployed. A wallet invited to AlphaNet for the first time also receives double deployment Points for 30 days.
Where Points are used
Hackworth strategies are open to everyone and consume no Points. There is no program deployment limit for Tier 1.
For now, there is no minimum deployment requirement for Tier 2 or Tier 3. To request access, talk to the AlphaNet team.
Archimedes strategies in Tier 2 use 2 Points per dollar per day, with a limit of $500,000 per wallet in each strategy.
Archimedes Pi strategies in Tier 3 use 4 Points per dollar per day, with a limit of $200,000 per wallet in each strategy.
These usage rates sit alongside deployment earnings. Each dollar deployed earns 1 Point per day in any tier. Its net daily contribution is therefore +1 Point in Tier 1, −1 in Tier 2 and −3 in Tier 3.
A simple example
A wallet with $1 million deployed earns 1 million Points a day. If it deploys $700,000 in Hackworth, $100,000 in Archimedes and $200,000 in Archimedes Pi, daily usage is also 1 million Points: 200,000 for Tier 2 and 800,000 for Tier 3.
At those amounts, daily earnings cover daily usage. This illustrates the Points arithmetic, rather than a suggested portfolio. Opening the positions still requires the necessary Points balance, strategy access and available capacity.
Managing your balance
To open or add to a Tier 2 or Tier 3 position, your Points balance must be sufficient to last at least seven days afterwards.
You receive warnings when seven, three and one days remain. If Points run out, a seven-day grace period follows, during which top-ups are unavailable. After that, Tier 3 strategies stop first, followed by Tier 2. Tier 1 strategies are never stopped because of a Points shortfall.
Points determine deployment within the per-strategy limits. If a strategy is full, its waitlist is ordered by Points balance.
Building your Points balance is a way to build your standing within AlphaNet. It reflects what you bring to the ecosystem and gives you more room to explore its capabilities. To request access to Tier 2 and Tier 3 strategies, or if you have any questions about the Points system, talk to our team.
