WHERE THE TRADING DECISION COMES FROM
Start with the strategy.
On AlphaNet, you select a strategy whose model and trading process have already been developed. Research spans engineered features, model training, validation and execution. On 3Commas, the bot type, configuration and signal source help determine the trading process. Its AI-assisted tools can reduce setup work, but the chosen configuration still matters.
For an ETH strategy on AlphaNet, you select an available profile and allocation; the deployed strategy determines its trades. A 3Commas DCA setup instead involves selecting the market and defining how entries, additional orders and exits work. A Signal bot can connect a separate decision source. These are different ways to supply the trading logic.

Questions about AlphaNet vs 3Commas
Is 3Commas only a manual rule builder?
No. It offers bot types, presets and AI-assisted tools, as well as integrations with external signals. The comparison is about the source of the trading logic and the choices the user makes.
Does AlphaNet require users to write a trading strategy?
No. Users choose among available developed strategies and set their capital allocation. They still decide which approach fits their preferences and manage their account.
Is either service the custodian of the trading account?
The account and permission model must be checked for the selected venue. AlphaNet uses a trade-only Hyperliquid agent wallet; 3Commas connects to supported exchange accounts without requiring withdrawal permissions.
